This image represents the gap between the popular psuedosciences and the actual sciences... As this gap grows dangerously large, it shows that people are losing sight of what the reality of the situation actually is... The bottom of the image is disinformation, all that psuedoscience crap, the middle is a big black bar - the gap - and the top is actual science. Europan Bacterium.

An image of a newly discovered Kuiper Belt object nicknamed Quaoar.
Note that there's a line of "stars" between Quaoar and the Sun... Although probably highly innacurate, that line represents all the other planets in the solar system with the exception of Mercury and Venus (the first dot is Earth, the second Mars, and so forth, with the last one being Pluto - although this one I made much, much dimmer). This image probably gives an innacurate portrayal of Quaoar's albedo (note the bluish glow) but since no one even knows what Pluto actually looks like, artistic license is granted (this is like if I were to portray the interior of a black hole, past the event horizon - pure science fiction).

{short description of image}
The image is of a starship skimming through the upper atmosphere of a distant star with a gas planet in the sky above (the close proximaty of the gas planet in the image to the star, although a little too close, is, in fact, based on extrasolar planet data - they've been finding that gas planets are surprizingly close to their parent stars!)

This one depicts a female astronaut... The astronaut, her clothing, her hair, and the object which she is supporting her weight upon were all drawn using my mouse and photoshop, as usual (with the exception of her eyes, which are actually those of singer Avril Lavigne).
