The Horsehead & Flame Nebulae

Constellation: Orion.
Best Seen: Winter.
Telescopic Appearance: The Horsehead has a reputation for being very difficult to observe - even from a dark sky site. The Flame is easier to spot. I have to confess to having seen neither!
Photo Details: A composite of two exposures on unhypered Elite Chrome 200 slide film (one hour exp. and 20 minutes exp.). Taken with a 500mm f/8 telephoto lens, piggybacked on the 11"SCT.
My thanks to Terry Adrian for the additional processing.
