| The Orion
Nebula |
| Constellation: | Orion. |
| Best Seen: | Winter. |
| Telescopic Appearance: | This object can be seen as a fuzzy 'star' with the naked eye below the three prominent stars which mark (in mythology) Orion's belt. Through the telescope the 'fan shape', seen in the photograph, can easily be made out on a transparent night. |
| Photo Details: | A composite of two, 45 minute exposures, on hypered Scotchchrome 400 slide film, with the 11"SCT at f/10. My thanks to Terry Adrian for the additional processing. |
